Myo Plus makes it possible to utilise the prosthesis control functions in a unique and entirely natural manner. It therefore allows the user to intuitively utilise their remaining capabilities.
Fluid movements without switching
Myo Plus permits a flowing transition between the individual prosthesis movements. Significantly less concentration is required as a result, and the user can control the prosthesis intuitively and seamlessly.
Add additional grip patterns yourself
Myo Plus allows the user to subsequently adapt their prosthesis control to their individual needs on an ongoing basis. This makes it possible to add new grips with the bebionic hand.
Myo Plus app
The newly developed Myo Plus app is the central interface between the user and prosthesis control. It serves as a “window into the prosthesis” in a sense and shows the hidden movement patterns in the residual limb.
Easily exchange terminal devices
Aside from the bebionic hand, Myo Plus prosthesis control is compatible with other MyoBock terminal devices such as the Electric Greifer. This allows users to choose a solution that is optimally adapted to their activities.
A learning control system
Myo Plus pattern recognition is adaptive and learns individual commands directly from the user. Training the movement patterns is straightforward and is visualised via the Myo Plus app. Calibration may be repeated at any time.

Individuals who have been affected by an amputation or a congenital malformation can still imagine closing their hand or rotating it outwards. This activates the remaining muscles in the residual limb. However, the corresponding organ that would carry out the hand movement is missing.
Myo Plus prosthesis control measures the incoming signals and derives movement patterns from them that are characteristic for individual hand movements. A certain prosthetic hand grip can be assigned to each learned pattern. The control system therefore learns from the user for the first time.
Even after an amputation, mental control of the hand remains mapped in the brain. Amputees can often still imagine closing their hand or rotating it. The corresponding nerve signals continue to be sent as well. The only thing missing is the corresponding organ for implementing the commands.
Myo Plus prosthesis control uses electrodes to measure the incoming signals on the forearm, deriving patterns from them that are characteristic for individual movements. Complex mathematical algorithms transform and amplify these signals so a prosthesis can translate them into the corresponding movement.
No, the use of Myo Plus prosthesis control is currently limited to prosthetic fittings of the forearm. However, research and development are being carried out in this area.
The battery capacity depends on the individual usage profile for the prosthesis to a large extent. There are several battery options with different installed sizes and capacities.
The full potential of Myo Plus prosthesis control is realised in conjunction with the MyoBock terminal devices, and especially with the bebionic hand. However, the bebionic hand is not ideal for all activities at work and in everyday life. That is why Myo Plus prosthesis control is also compatible with other MyoBock terminal devices, such as the VariPlus Speed hand and System Electric Greifer DMC.
This allows users to choose a solution that is optimally adapted to their activities.
