The new generation of the Modular Knee Joint 3R106 has been optimized even further. A new pneumatic system makes the knee joint much more powerful while it precisely and reliably controls swing phase.  In addition, the knee’s proven safety and the large degree of flexion remained unchanged. We also improved the wear-resistance, user friendliness, adaptation possibilities, and weight limit.

High-Performance Dual Chamber Pneumatic Unit

The high-performance dual chamber pneumatic unit provides a wide range of walking speeds.  It is especially adapted to the requirements of amputees who meet criteria for mobility levels 2 and 3. The unique swing phase end damping and a harmonious extension stop helps provide a more natural gait pattern. At the same time, the knee joint can be individually adapted to the requirements and activity level of your patient. The flexion and extension damping can be adjusted independently.

More Comfort and Safety

In the extended position, the instantaneous pivot point is located well above the joint and behind the load line. Therefore the modern polycentric structure secures the knee joint especially reliably in the standing phase and ensures greater ground clearance in swing phase. This increases your patient’s overall trust in the entire prosthesis. The wide flexion angle of 170° and the lightweight design (760 grams) are more comfortable for activities such as biking, getting into the car, sitting, or kneeling.

The four modular installation options – identical to the new 3R60 EBS Knee Joint – allow for easy fitting of all amputation heights.  The latest development of the 3R106 is suitable for amputees who weigh up to 100 kilograms.
