Berlin, Germany. While making his traditional rounds at the 2011 Summer Festival, Germany's President expressed pleasure at Otto Bock's presence and the company's commitment to the Paralympics. On the spur of the moment, he stopped to write a message to the orthopaedic technicians and the entire Otto Bock family on the exhibition wall in the pavilion: "See you soon, all the best, Christian Wulff".

On the whole, the company's dedication to the Paralympic Family sparked a lot of interest. The German Federal President as well as German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed Kelly Cartwright (a top Paralympic athlete from Australia) and Heinrich Popow as Otto Bock ambassadors of mobility.

Another fascinated guest at Otto Bock's booth at the Summer Festival was mayor Klaus Wowereit who welcomed the current Paralympic record holders in sprinting to Berlin.
