The arm abduction orthosis is ideal solution for the functional treatment of the shoulder and arm regions. It has a modular structure and can be adapted to various forms of therapy. For example, you can easily exchange the static abduction unit for the dynamic abduction unit and treat a large or changing spectrum of indications.

One Design – Two Options

The construction of the static Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A21 and the dynamic Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A11 is largely the same. The main difference is the abduction angle setting.

The static Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A21 allows a continuous adjustment of the abduction angle from 25° to 135°.

The Dynamic Arm Abduction Orthosis 28A11 has a dynamic abduction unit that allows restricted adduction against resistance in addition to the fixed abduction angle. The abduction angle is continuously adjustable from 40° to 90°.

In addition, horizontal flexion of the shoulder joint can be set from 8° to 45° in anteversion and retroversion, respectively. The movable elbow joint is connected to the shoulder joint through a length-adjustable splint to which you can screw the shaped body sections. This ensures optimum fit at all times, and the orthosis can be used on the right or the left side by switching the position of the lower arm support.

The broad hook-and-loop straps make it easy to securely attach the orthosis to the body and adjust it. In addition, they make it simpler for your customer to put the orthosis on and take it off.  The orthosis increase comfort because it is lightweight and easy to clean.

Indication
