Bert Harman looks ahead to the sixth decade in the history of Otto Bock USA with confidence.

“As long as Otto Bock continues to value innovation, technology, and outstanding customer service, our growth potential in the market will remain above average.”
High-tech Otto Bock products like the C-Leg® and myoelectric arm prostheses are going to be exported to the USA from Germany and Austria. In addition, Prof. Hans Georg Näder recently made an announcement at the head office in Duderstadt that a new production facility to supplement Salt Lake City will be built in Tijuana, Mexico:
“Due to its geographical proximity to the USA, Canada, and the growth region of South America, this production facility will have a very positive impact – especially for products that require quick delivery and product groups where direct labour makes up a significant part of the total cost.”
The decision will not have any negative consequence for other Otto Bock locations. Prof. Näder: “Our growth in Tijuana will help protect jobs in South Lower Saxony.”
